Formation of LiNbO3 Nanocrystals Using the Solvothermal Method

The optimization of the parameters solvothermal synthesis lithium niobate (LiNbO3, LN) nanocrystals from Nb2O5 and LiOH was performed. effects polyol media, reaction time Li excess starting reagents were investigated. According to X-ray diffraction phase analysis, Li3NbO4 also detected besides LN in many samples depending on ratio components time. best yield most homogeneous prepared by using diethylene glycol medium with a Li/Nb 1.5 72 h size shape particles characterized scanning electron microscopy. particle distribution narrow under 100 nm for all cases.
